4th of July wreath

This Coffee filter wreath was so easy and so cheap. I bought the white and crate colored coffee filters.  I then tea dyed the white ones so they looked alittle  more antiqued. I think using the 2 different colored filters gave the wreath alittle more dimension.

Pretty with Plywood

There were a few decorations around my home that needed to be just a little bigger to fill space. So we added a piece of plywood to make them bigger. An easy cheap fix. You could also use MDF wood, and it would be even lighter.

This cute frame of Bgirl is just a cheap frame from DI then nail gunned to a large piece of plywood. We then painted the entire thing pink to match her room. It's hard to tell from the picture but this is about 22''x28''
Jane had this awesome piece of metal she found. So she attached it to some plywood with upholstery nails. It is about 20''x60''

I bought this cool 3-piece canvas art at Target a few years ago on clearance. I added a piece of plywood to the back and painted it red. I love it. It is about 48''x48''

pretty peonies

Ahh. I love peonies. They are so ruffle-y and girly. I went to Janes and picked a few out of her garden. I love having them on my kitchen table. They make me happy. I just wrapped my vase with some burlap, ribbon, and jute. My husband loves when I get myself flowers!

4th of July burlap banner

I've been wanting to make a little banner for my cute swing. Today was flag day so I decided to do a quick banner out of some burlap I had. Now I just need to make some cute 4th of July pillows to match. It's on my to-do list, if only there were more hours in the day!

I figured I needed about 9 rectangles to fit across my swing.
I cut them all 7''x10''

Next I folded it in half length wise so I could cut a triangle out of the bottom.
fold the top over your rope, jute or string about an inch. Either sew down or use the trusty glue gun.
I'm sure you could iron on some cute letters. But,  I wanted mine done NOW so i just painted letters with acrylic paint.

We ♥ Diet Coke

Look at this A-mazing lamp chandelier Jane made. She is the queen of taking something simple and making it beautiful.

Yep, It's made from pop tops off her diet coke. Isn't she amazing?!

For the base of her lamp she found an old 1980's style gold lamp at a local thrift shop. She spray painted it too look like galvanized metal.

It seriously looks so pretty when it is lit up at night. There are pretty chandelier light sparkles all over the wall.

Halloween Pillows

What an easy way to add a little "holiday" to your home. Cute accent pillows. I saw a tutorial for this cute flower pillow and I've been wanting to make one for awhile.
I did mine in Pumpkin-y colors. I was suprised how quick it was to make (about 30-40 minutes)
I ♥ it!!

my mom found these cute Frankenstein pillows on clearance @ Target a couple years ago. So I "borrowed" them for my outdoor swing!

Halloween Decorations

I love decorating for the holidays.
I don't have a ton of Halloween Decorations, so I have a few projects in the works.
I have loved having this entertainment center. It was the 1st piece of furniture Kyle & I bought when we got married. I have painted it a few time so i don't get too sick of it!

Painting with Jane

How lucky am I to have such an A-mazing, talented mom? I told her I wanted to TRY painting something Christmas-Y to hang up in my home.
She went up to her studio found a couple canvas's and paint, and I searched the Internet to find pictures we liked. I ♥ how they turned out. Thanks mom, I love having you on my team!

paper pom-poms

This was for a friends Baby shower. My mom helped me make all these adorable pompoms. I then got baby pictures of my friend and her husband and copied them to black and white.
