invitations

I made a cute lil invitation for a friend for their combined YW activity this month. I thought it was such a fun idea. They had all the girls wear a modest dress of their choice (Prom, wedding, church, school, etc..) They had a fun little fashion show and the girls walked their looks down the runway.

This was a simple invitation I made for a friends RS birthday dinner.

And another RS birthday Dinner for my SIL. I thought it was a cute Idea that they had all the sisters bring a shoe that told something about themselves.

Lesson#14 lm3 We have a wonderful legacy

(*Enter to win free Jamberry nails on my blog HERE. Giveaway ends May, 1 10:00 pm mst)
LEGACY BOXES
For the 1st part of the Lesson I talked about our legacy as an LDS church. For the 2nd part of the lesson I talked more about our own personal legacy. For the handout I made these cute little treat boxes and filled them with jelly beans. I had them write a few things about what they wanted their legacy to be. How they want to be remembered. I told them when their candy was gone to put their Legacy List in their cute little Legacy box.

I thought these would make cute little bunny boxes too.

Spring printable

I {LOVE} the blog Eighteen25. They always have the cutest ideas and tons of DIY projects. They have these adorable printables I have been using for all the holidays. They are all 16x20 so you can just change them out in the same frame. It only costs about $6 to print that size at costco.

I have been watching their site like a hawk for a spring printable. I was getting too anxious so i decided to make one up myself until they have one (:

It is 16x20 (just right click and save to your photos)

Lesson #10/11 lm3 Family Activities/Extended Family

For this weeks lesson we combined #10 & #11. It is the Sunday before St. Patricks so I thought it would be cute do a rainbow treat.
I saw this idea HERE.
I got 5 "rainbows" out of each bag of twizzlers so it came to about $0.30 each

For the Extended Family part of the lesson I made up some cute little postcards. Each YW will mail this St. Patty's postcard to an extended family member.

I thought these were really cute too. I saw this on a friends blog a while ago but haven't attempted to make them yet.
I found a tutorial over at http://www.ourbestbites.com/ see HERE

"The Lodge" by J&J co.

Jane and I redid my SIL bedroom. She wanted a cabin/lodge room that was warm and cozy.
I ♥♥♥ the way it turned out.
Jane found the most A-mazing chocolate brown faux fur comforter at Nordstroms.
It is soooo soft and warm
She already had this gorgeous Willie Holdman Photo of Mt. Timpanogos

We must be loving old doors lately. We thought they would make the perfect headboard. Jane painted them a mustard/golden yellow and glazed them for the antiqued finish. We used a french cleat system to hang the doors.
Instructions found HERE
I saw this gorgeous vintage moose transfer HERE, and Jane sewed the pillow.

I made a subway art with their favorite places in Utah.

( Here is a free 8x10 printable)
and my awesome brother J hand carved these!

we decided we needed a team name so we call ourselves J&J co. (for jane & Jamie)

Something Blue

Jane and I did a wedding this last weekend. We went with a vintage theme, and ran with it. Jane spent hours and hours painting, gluing, sanding, sewing, drawing, collecting, and planning. It all came together beautifully. We hadn't seen the church and were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and the church was almost the exact blue we had chosen. When everything was set up you forgot you were in the cultural hall (: Thanks to all our "mules" that helped us haul, and put everything together.

Lesson #6 lm3 Responsiblity to Teach

I liked the quote "You can count the seeds in an apple, but you can not count the apples in a seed" Each day we teach by our example, words, actions, and attitude.

Supplies needed: 2 empty plastic water bottles, red tissue paper, a stick, and green felt. I filled each apple with Hershey kisses.

Cut both water bottles with scissors to desired height

put treat in red tissue paper and place in 1 water bottle. Place other water bottle on top like a lid. I used my glue gun to glue the stick and green felt on top.

Fortunate

I saw this idea on several blogs and decided it would be a cute/cheap gift for preschool teachers & my YW. I didn't do a handout for this weeks lesson I just gave them their cute lil valentine
Chocolate dipped fortune cookies. I just used the almond bark from Macey's and some cute red sprinkles. The cheapest place I could find fortune cookies was from a local Chinese restaurant they were $0.08 each.

I found these cute little cartons at a store that was going out of business so they only ended up costing me $0.17 each.

Cute Fan

We were pretty excited that the Packers would be playing in the superbowl. WE are even more excited that they WON!!!
I made Bgirl a little dress to wear on game day. I just googled pillowcase dresses and found an easy tutorial, and added a few ruffles. It was really pretty easy.
